Date night.
Hugo:
The weekend had come once again, each time it was a little disappointing for Hugo. He didn't usually have plans and yet, Voltaire seem to always have something to do. Hugo decided to try an online dating site, he didn't see any harm in it. Hugo even got a hit, a girl name Carla wanted to meet up for a date that night. So he went to get ready, putting on his best blue jeans and looked for a decent button up shirt. Finding a baby blue one with a dark blue print on it, figure he go with a nice casual look. He even pulled out what he consider to be his lucky blazer, it was dark blue corduroy material.
He styled his hair and brushed his teeth, even used mouthwash just to be safe. Hugo checked for any blemishes or other things. Then he walked out of the bedroom to find Voltaire sitting on the couch. Hugo found it odd, it was almost seven and usually Voltaire was out and not home till like four in the morning. Hugo looked around, still abit paranoid by the illusion the garnax put him through. "Um hey V....you uh....you ok?" his face riddled with confusion.
Voltaire looked up from the television "Hmm? Yes why?" raising a brow to the boy. Hugo gave an awkward shrug "Oh uh...no...no reason, I was just uh curious. Usually you are not even home right now." moving to the kitchen grabbing his keys and checking his wallet. Voltaire watched Hugo closely "Well yes, but I figure I take a night off to just relax." Hugo blinks a moment "You know how to take a break?" not meaning to say it out loud. Voltaire smirked "Whats the big deal? Do you plan to use the apartment to well accompany a lady?" grinning.
Hugo blinks and just got more twitchy "What no..I mean...I don't even know if the night goes that well. .." stumbling over his words, Voltaire started laughing. "Relax Hugo, the night will go fine. Just be yourself and most of all... be confident." Hugo stared at Voltaire, he always felt weird getting advice from him. So he just gave Voltaire a nod and headed out the door, just hoping the date goes well.
Voltaire:
Watched Hugo leave, shaking his head. He went back to flipping the channels, raising a brow "And Hugo does this every night? So.....boring." With that Voltaire got up and headed out. Not one to just lay about and do nothing. He figure he head to one of the bars around New York, sure to liven up his evening.
He heads into the bar and orders himself a drink. Night life in New York city was always an interesting bunch, atleast to Voltaire there was never a dull moment. The conversations at night were different then that in the day and well alot of colorful and lively people would walk about the night streets of New York.
Voltaire would go sit at a table and usually by his appearance, a few people would come over and carry conversations with him. He didn't mind either, he was a rather social being. The night would go on and after quite a few drinks later, Voltaire emerged out of the bar. He figure it was safe to head home, close to being about eleven'ish. He was sure that Hugo date was over with and even if he got lucky, they would probably be asleep. On his walk home, he enjoyed the lights of the city, even if he preferred nature. This city reminded him of home, some of the human city tend to look a little like this one. He figure it was a human thing, to build such tall steel buildings, figuring he would just get lost in thought on his way home.
Hugo:
Hugo was enjoying a good evening at the restaurant, his date wasn't half bad so far. She was average looking, brunette bob cut, wore a cardigan and skirt combo. She seem to laugh at his jokes, which boosted Hugo confidants some. They stayed out pretty late, their date started at seven thirty, now it was almost eleven. He walked her out and helped her catch a cab "Well this has been...really great. I had fun." the girl gave a small polite smile. "Oh yeah it was, it..was nice. " nodding her head as she got ready to get in the cab. "Oh yeah maybe we should do this again sometime..." Hugo tried to inquire if there be a second date. However she just smiled and got into the cab, the cab drove off without her answering, which made Hugo a little down.
Hugo made his way home, opening the door with slouched shoulders. He been mulling over the fact she just smiled, was the smile a yes, maybe or a polite no. He figure he try and message her tomorrow and see how she felt. Once he was in the apartment, he looked over to see Voltaire was home early too. He was even asleep or atleast he thought he was. Hugo wasn't going to bother him, he didn't want to talk about the night. He headed into the bedroom and got ready for bed, figure Voltaire had a slow night as well. Just was an off weekend for the both of them, Hugo hope maybe tomorrow would be better.
